Lumenpulse Lights the Swiss Garden

The Swiss Garden at Shuttleworth lit with Lumenfacade luminaires

Project

Bedford, UK

The Swiss Garden at Shuttleworth in Old Warden, UK has been lit with Lumenpulse luminaires for a special five-night event (December 5th to December 10th 2015). Conceived by e-Luminate Studio, the installation seeks to put a modern twist on the garden’s original lighting design, highlighting key features from the past, including an aviary.

e-Luminate Studio used Lumenfacade Color Changing luminaires to illuminate the aviary in blue, making the dome visible from afar.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this event in the stunning Swiss Garden and to enhance the offer of this heritage site at an otherwise quiet time of the year,” said Alessandra Caggiano, the co-founder of e-Luminate Studio. “We were also thrilled to work with Lumenpulse products for the first time. We love the results achieved!”

Located behind the hangars of the Shuttleworth Collection aviation museum, the Swiss Gardens feature heritage listed buildings and 13 Doulton sculptures. The property, which was created between 1824 and 1832 by Lord Ongley, was reopened in 2014 following an 18-month, £2.8 million restoration. e-Luminate Studio is part of the e-Luminate Foundation, a UK-based organization dedicated to promoting the intersection of art and science in lighting.
