1 McGill
The façade of 1 McGill Street adds an elegant glow to the neighbourhood thanks to Lumenpulse luminaires.
On the corner of McGill Street and La Commune is a tasteful condominium complex which overlooks the historic Old Port of Montreal. The elegant exterior lighting design now showcases its façade using Lumenpulse luminaires.
Éclairage Public, a division of Ombrages skillfully used the precision optics of the Lumenpulse Lumenfacade luminaires in their design to both directly and indirectly graze the brick of the sectional pilasters, highlighting the brick textures and vertical magnitude of the structure, while keeping light from spilling into the condos. The Lumenfacade luminaires used to graze the cornices were matched to the warmth of the pilaster luminaires, creating a unified, fluid look across the building’s façade. The curved balconies of the central and street corner sections have been given their signature underline thanks to Lumencove Exterior fixtures.
The low profile of the Lumenfacade and Lumencove luminaires gives them a discreet presence during the day, but at night, 1 McGill Street gives a glowing elegance to its surrounds. The City and condo owners agree, this eleven-storey building has now taken its rightful place in the Montreal nightscape.
